About the Role

Parsons Corporation is seeking a Contracts Manager to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is integral to the Cliff Stabilization project in Qiddiya, KSA, focusing on managing all commercial and contract activities for a significant multi-package project. The role involves representing the Company in negotiations concerning complex contractual issues.

Role Scope and Required Expertise

The Contracts Manager will be responsible for the comprehensive oversight of contractual matters, ensuring alignment with company objectives and policies. A key aspect of this role is possessing full knowledge of the legal, business, financial, and long-term implications associated with prime contract negotiation and maintenance. Travel to client offices or project sites may be required during the contract lifecycle or prior to final approval.

Key Responsibilities

  • Negotiate significant contracts or contract modifications, often under challenging conditions, aiming for favorable terms and conditions while meeting Company objectives.
  • Identify risks and contractual terms that do not conform to Company policy.
  • Participate in Division, Company, and Corporate strategic planning activities for specific projects, including risk assessment, bid/no-bid analysis, and business plan development.
  • Select personnel, make staffing assignments, and supervise work to ensure consistent high-quality performance.
  • Provide training and development for assigned personnel.
  • Maintain active participation in relevant professional societies to stay informed on contractual issues.
  • Keep subordinates updated on resource materials related to current contract administration and negotiation issues.
  • Perform other associated responsibilities as appropriate.

Reporting Structure and Key Interactions

The Contracts Manager reports to the Project Director or Department Manager—Contracts GBU senior management. This role involves supervising lower-level Contract Managers and Contract Administrators. Internal contacts include all employees within the GBU and other departments, while external interactions extend to clients’ Contract Administrators, suppliers, and government agencies.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in contracts management is required.
  • Demonstrated expertise in prime contract negotiation and maintenance, encompassing legal, business, financial, and long-term implications.
  • Proven ability to negotiate complex contractual issues effectively.
