About the Demolition Specialist Role

AECOM is seeking a Demolition Specialist to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position involves executing demolition and site preparation duties with a focus on quality and safety compliance. The role requires applying engineering knowledge to solve complex challenges and build infrastructure for the future.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute routine demolition and site preparation tasks under general supervision, ensuring work quality and safety adherence.
• Utilize engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to evaluate and implement solutions that meet construction specifications.
• Exercise professional judgment in all work execution aspects, adhering to established standards.
• Conduct independent inspections of installed work to verify conformance with specifications and design requirements.
• Perform detailed quantity surveys for accurate project tracking, documentation, and reporting.
• Provide technical direction and oversight to assigned drafters, technicians, and surveyors.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in demolition, site preparation, or heavy construction.
• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification or an equivalent.

Essential Skills and Abilities

• Demonstrated proficiency in reading and interpreting construction blueprints and technical specifications.
• Strong knowledge of demolition equipment operation and associated safety protocols.
• Ability to perform physical labor in diverse weather conditions and at heights.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
