About the Role

Qiddiya is seeking a Director - Development Finance Business Partner to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position requires a candidate with over 10 years of progressive finance experience. The Director will provide essential financial leadership, strategic insight, and decision support to assigned business units and development portfolios, acting as a key advisor to business leadership.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

The Director - Development Finance Business Partner is instrumental in achieving organizational objectives by partnering with development, delivery, and corporate teams. This role involves translating business strategies into financial plans, monitoring performance against targets, identifying risks and opportunities, and offering actionable recommendations to drive value creation. The position requires strong commercial acumen, analytical capabilities, and the ability to influence stakeholders while ensuring alignment with financial goals. Reporting to the Senior Executive Director - Finance Business Partner (or CFO), the Director will oversee a team responsible for financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, business case evaluations, and performance analysis for assigned projects, assets, or subsidiaries.

  • Support the preparation and consolidation of annual budgets, periodic forecasts, and long-term business plans.
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis to assess business performance, trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Monitor actual performance against budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis and recommendations for corrective action.
  • Develop management reports, dashboards, and KPI reporting for executive leadership.
  • Partner with project and development teams to assess project economics, funding requirements, and financial viability.
  • Review commercial contracts, procurement strategies, and major commitments from a financial perspective.
  • Support month-end and quarter-end reporting processes through financial analysis and performance commentary.
  • Collaborate with accounting, treasury, tax, procurement, and other finance functions to ensure consistency and accuracy of financial information.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in reporting, planning processes, data quality, and financial systems.
  • Support internal and external stakeholder requests, including Board, PIF, auditors, and advisors.

Team Leadership and Development

This role includes significant people management responsibilities. The Director will be expected to lead, coach, and develop a team of finance professionals. Key aspects include establishing performance objectives, monitoring achievement against KPIs, fostering a high-performance culture focused on collaboration and accountability, building finance business partnering capabilities within the team, and supporting talent development and knowledge sharing initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must possess a minimum of 12 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a finance business partnering, FP&A, corporate finance, or commercial finance leadership role. Experience within large-scale development, construction, infrastructure, real estate, or asset management sectors is required. A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is essential. A Master's degree (MBA or Finance-related discipline) and a professional qualification such as CFA, CA, ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent, are preferred.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh. The role operates within a dynamic environment supporting significant development projects.
