The Echocardiography Technician Role

We are seeking a dedicated Echocardiography Technician to join our full-time team in Riyadh. This role is ideal for individuals with 0-1 years of experience who are passionate about performing comprehensive echocardiography studies for adult patients and contributing to high standards of cardiac care within My Clinic KSA.

Core Responsibilities

• Perform full 2D Echo study views and measurements in adult patients.
• Recognize abnormalities, form a preliminary set of differential diagnoses, and extend the scope of the examination to explore possible pathologic conditions.
• Obtain pertinent clinical information from the patient, referring physician, and patient’s record, including cardiac related physical findings and pertinent laboratory data.
• Apply necessary sonographic techniques to obtain comprehensive and diagnostic echocardiographic information.
• Participate in task forces as assigned and complete work-related assignments on time regarding the Cardiology department (*, census, typing and scanning of reports).
• Receive and give pertinent information to the concerned clinical team on the patient’s condition through shift reports (verbal & written according to My Clinic standards) to assure continuity of care.

Essential Knowledge and Professional Standards

• Demonstrated competence and excellence in echocardiography based on evidence-based practice, guided by the American Society of Echocardiography and My Clinic policies & procedures.
• Detailed understanding of cardiac and thoracic anatomy, physiology, hemodynamics, embryology, tomographic anatomy, and pathophysiology. This knowledge base is a prerequisite to understanding echocardiographic data and quantitation of derived parameters.

Workplace Conduct and Development

• Maintain a maximum safe environment for patient, family, and staff by ensuring safe equipment, instruments, and implementing infection control procedures & guidelines.
• Maintain professional working relationships with colleagues and other healthcare professionals, assuring a work culture of respect and diversity that reflects the organization's mission and vision.
• Follow the rules and regulations installed by the Human Resources department of My Clinic.
• Maintain confidentiality of information from unauthorized persons.
• Act as an advocate to protect and promote the patients' rights to autonomy, respect, privacy, dignity, culture, and religious beliefs.
• Attend and participate in educational activities and participate in the orientation and ongoing education for new echo tech/cardiac sonographer staff.
• Demonstrate flexibility to work different shifts in different areas according to work needs within the scope of the Cardiology department in My Clinic.
