About the GIS Supervisor Role

GE Vernova is seeking a GIS Supervisor to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position requires a candidate with 2-5 years of experience in GIS and high-voltage switchgear, focusing on E&C (Engineering & Construction) services and maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform E&C services and maintenance for all types of high-voltage switchgear, including testing and commissioning.
• Manage GIS equipment, prepare technical reports, and maintain site documentation.
• Ensure full EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) compliance and quality of site work according to GE Vernova procedures.
• Understand and implement safety regulations, including LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) operations, and adhere to GE & Customer safety rules.
• Implement GEV EHS rules for continuous improvement, focusing on site safety, quality, and productivity.
• Conduct hands-on E&C of 230 & 380 KV substations.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical live substations, and perform repairing & preventive maintenance.
• Read electrical and mechanical drawings to diagnose equipment issues.
• Coordinate with OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) for unresolved repair problems.
• Provide technical assistance for project installation or pre-arrangement.
• Act as a site lead or team member to allocate responsibilities and manage site operations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, and/or Electromechanical Engineering or a relevant field, or a diploma in a relevant field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in high voltage switchgear.
• Proven capability in E&C of GIS SS (Gas Insulated Switchgear Substation) site services, including maintenance.
• Proficiency in English.
• Willingness to work across multiple remote sites within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Required Skills and Attributes

• Strong technical experience in GIS and AIS (Air Insulated Switchgear) switchgear.
• Knowledge of GIS & AIS switchgears and electrical panels.
• Ability to manage site and customer needs effectively, even under pressure.
• Experience with MS 365 & Projects is desired.
• Good interpersonal skills, quick learning ability, and leadership qualities.
• Good conduct and excellent communication skills.
• Arabic speaking is preferable.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh. The role involves working across remote sites within the Kingdom, requiring adaptability and the ability to manage responsibilities effectively in various locations.
