About the Role

Swisslinx Middle East is seeking a seasoned Head of Compliance for a reputable international corporate and investment bank based in Riyadh. This full-time position offers long-term career opportunities within an institution with growing international market exposure. The role requires a professional with strong knowledge of SAMA rules and regulations, and is part of the “SAUDIZATION PROGRAMM”.

Role Overview

The Head of Compliance will be responsible for overseeing and managing the compliance function within the bank. This leadership role requires a strategic approach to ensure adherence to all relevant regulatory frameworks and internal policies. The position is at a VP level and involves managing a small team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the compliance department.
• Ensure adherence to SAMA rules and regulations.
• Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures.
• Oversee regulatory reporting and interactions with SAMA.
• Manage and mentor a compliance team.
• Provide guidance on compliance matters to business units.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in compliance.
• At least 5 years of experience leading a compliance function, ideally at Head or VP level.
• Demonstrated experience with SAMA and a thorough understanding of the SAMA regulatory framework.
• SAMA approval will be required for the candidate.
• Experience in corporate or investment banking is an advantage.
• Previous experience in an international bank within KSA is a plus.
• Experience in managing and working with a small team.

Skills and Language Proficiency

• Fluency in both English and Arabic is required.
