About the Role

Sama Construction & Contracting is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Workshop Manager to lead its maintenance operations in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is critical for ensuring the optimal performance, safety, and reliability of the company's extensive construction fleet.

Role Context and Scope

The successful candidate will oversee a dedicated team of technicians and mechanics, managing all aspects of the workshop facility. This role requires a strong background in the Saudi contracting sector and a proven track record of effectively managing large-scale workshops. The fleet includes a diverse range of heavy machinery such as wheel loaders, excavators (backhoes), bulldozers, and heavy-duty trucks.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, train, and mentor a team of mechanics, electricians, and technicians.
• Develop and execute preventive and corrective maintenance programs for all heavy machinery, including loaders, excavators, bulldozers, and trucks.
• Oversee complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical diagnostic and repair processes.
• Manage inventory levels, source high-quality spare parts in local Riyadh markets, and coordinate with suppliers to optimize costs.
• Ensure all workshop activities strictly adhere to safety and environmental standards.
• Track workshop performance, maintenance costs, and equipment downtime, reporting directly to management.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in managing large-scale heavy equipment workshops, preferably within the Saudi contracting sector.
• Deep knowledge of major heavy machinery brands such as CAT, Komatsu, Volvo, and Mercedes-Benz, including their hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Currently based in Riyadh with a transferable Iqama (preferred).

Location and Work Type

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will operate from the company's maintenance facility, contributing directly to local construction operations.
