About the Inbound Logistics Specialist Position

Almanea Co., a prominent company operating in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is seeking a dedicated Inbound Logistics Specialist to join its full-time team. This role is central to ensuring the efficient and compliant flow of goods from suppliers to the company's facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inbound logistics, from shipment coordination to customs clearance and inventory receipt, contributing directly to operational efficiency.

Core Responsibilities

Collect shipping requests from the Purchasing Team and assign appropriate forwarders.
Coordinate and monitor inbound shipments from suppliers and carriers, ensuring timely arrivals.
Track shipment status, proactively resolving delivery delays or discrepancies as they arise.
Verify shipping documents and transmit them to customs brokers for processing.
Issue Saber Certificates for shipments to ensure regulatory compliance.
Coordinate and monitor the customs clearance process in collaboration with brokers.
Ensure the accurate receipt of incoming goods and collaborate with the Inventory team to prioritize receiving activities.
Investigate and resolve issues related to damaged, missing, or incorrect shipments.
Work closely with procurement and planning departments to ensure goods availability.
Monitor the performance of forwarders and brokers, providing feedback and identifying areas for improvement.
Raise payment requests for forwarders and brokers to the Finance Department.
Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable import/export regulations.
Prepare comprehensive reports on inbound logistics performance, including metrics such as on-time delivery and receiving accuracy.
Identify and implement opportunities to improve logistics processes, reduce costs, and enhance overall operational efficiency.

Required Experience and Qualifications

A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in inbound logistics, supply chain, or a related field.
Demonstrated ability to manage and coordinate complex shipping and customs processes.
Familiarity with import/export regulations and compliance requirements.
Proficiency in tracking shipments, resolving discrepancies, and preparing performance reports.
