About the Role

This full-time position for a Lead Specialist, Engineering and Virtualization II is based in Riyadh.

Role Overview

This role contributes to Ma'aden's growth by playing a key part in shaping the future of mining. The Lead Specialist will be responsible for engineering and virtualization solutions, ensuring the effective delivery and support of data access services.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement virtualization or semantic layer solutions.
• Support production data access services, focusing on performance, security, and reliability.
• Apply data virtualization concepts, including abstraction, federation, query optimization, and caching strategies.
• Ensure strong understanding and implementation of access governance, auditing, and security controls for data access services.
• Design consumable data services aligned with enterprise definitions and models.
• Provide operational support, troubleshooting, and performance tuning for production data services.
• Manage stakeholders, including BI teams, application teams, and governance stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

The minimum qualifications for this role include:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• 7–10 years of experience in data engineering/integration.
• Hands-on experience delivering virtualization or semantic layer solutions.
