About the Role

El Seif Engineering Contracting Company is seeking a Construction Manager (C&A) for a full-time position. This role involves overseeing construction site activities and progress to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all site activities and progress for assigned packages, providing technical advice to staff and subcontractors.
  • Ensure packages are completed on time, within budget, and meet company and client requirements.
  • Support the development of national employees, contributing to Saudization targets and knowledge dissemination.
  • Provide input to Human Resources on succession planning, employee career growth, and organizational structure.
  • Manage team affairs with high standards of respect, integrity, accountability, agility, quality, safety, and corporate governance.
  • Ensure compliance with the Code of Ethics policy and company values, reinforcing a strong people culture and ethical business practices.
  • Manage the adoption and utilization of systems and ERP within the function.
  • Oversee day-to-day site team responsibilities in accordance with project business plans, company policies, and approved budgets.
  • Supervise and manage the effective utilization of related equipment at the site.
  • Assist the Project Manager with producing Bills of Quantities (BoQs) and provide support for timely approvals.
  • Monitor project execution items and report any unbudgeted items.
  • Issue variation orders for scope changes resulting from design, shop drawings, or client instructions.
  • Liaise with project management to obtain consultant approval for design, shop drawings, and material submittals.
  • Regularly report the operational and financial status of site zones to the Project Manager.
  • Monitor labor productivity and liaise with HR and management to mobilize necessary resources.
  • Monitor labor availability and measure trade productivity to support project execution within budget and schedule.
  • Provide comments and recommendations to the Engineering function for shop drawing generation.
  • Assist the Project Manager in developing project work plans, assigning activities, monitoring workflow, and directing activities.
  • Follow up on the delivery and close-out of site works according to contractual arrangements and agreed financial objectives.
  • Prepare and present monthly site summary reports to the Project Manager.
  • Support the development and maintenance of constructive relationships with clients.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor project plans and controls, recommending changes to specifications, budgets, and schedules, and highlighting risks with mitigation plans.
  • Work with suppliers and subcontractors to establish detailed project plans identifying key milestones and deliverables.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor of Science (*** in Civil Engineering.
  • 7 years of experience in construction and project management.
  • At least 4 years in a Construction managerial position.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English; Arabic is a plus.
  • Advanced training courses in Project Management are a plus.
  • Good knowledge in Construction Management, QA/QC Management, and Contractual Management.
  • Demonstrated high level of knowledge in civil construction management along with project management skills.
  • Well-experienced in implementing statutory, legal, and company policies and procedures.
