About the Role

People Group Arabia is seeking a Senior Design Manager to oversee the design process for a significant, high-profile real estate development in Riyadh. This full-time position is integral to ensuring design excellence, technical adherence, budget alignment, and timely delivery from the initial concept phase through to the completion of construction documentation.

Role Context and Contribution

This role offers a leadership opportunity within a landmark development program. The Senior Design Manager will contribute to the execution of one of the region's most ambitious and design-focused real estate portfolios, ensuring that all design aspects meet project objectives and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the complete design lifecycle, from concept development to detailed design and construction documentation.
• Coordinate and oversee multidisciplinary design consultants and specialist advisors.
• Review, critique, and approve design deliverables at all project stages.
• Ensure coordination across architecture, landscape, structural, MEP, interior design, and infrastructure disciplines.
• Verify design compliance with project briefs, development objectives, budgets, and schedules.
• Facilitate design workshops, technical reviews, and stakeholder coordination meetings.
• Identify, assess, and manage design risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support value engineering and design optimization initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with Development, Construction, Procurement, and Commercial teams.
• Monitor consultant performance against contractual obligations.
• Prepare executive-level reports and project progress updates.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Urban Design, or a related field.
• Master’s Degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in design management or similar roles.
• Experience working with real estate developers, PMCs, or international design consultancies.
• Proven track record managing large, multidisciplinary design teams.
• Strong experience delivering projects within the GCC region.
