About the Role

Prince Sultan University in Riyadh is seeking a Senior Legal Specialist to manage and administer the university's daily legal matters. This full-time position requires a professional with 5-10 years of experience in the legal field to ensure compliance and support the university's objectives.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Legal Specialist will be responsible for a range of legal functions, including:

• Developing internal capabilities for the legal department, including policies, procedures, and work execution.
• Preparing and reviewing contracts, agreements, memorandums of understanding, and other legal documents, ensuring compliance with university policies.
• Studying legal issues raised by various departments and providing legal opinions and consultations to the Legal Department Manager.
• Reviewing and proposing amendments to internal policies, procedures, and actions to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Monitoring the implementation of regulations and directives from governmental and regulatory bodies.
• Representing the legal department in meetings and contributing to proposed amendments to ensure legal compliance.
• Conducting legal studies on legal risks, proposing solutions, and implementing preventive actions.
• Participating in the development of university-specific legal and regulatory policies.
• Assisting with governmental affairs and the administration of legal exceptions.
• Preparing periodic reports on contracts, issues, and legal consultations.
• Providing legal advice and guidance to beneficiaries and the work team.
• Reviewing legal matters from university departments before submission to the Legal Department Manager.
• Contributing to the dissemination of legal culture within the university through awareness lectures and workshops.
• Utilizing computer and electronic systems for the administration of contracts and legal matters.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Law is required.
• A Master's degree in Law or a related specialization is preferred.
• A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in the legal field.
