About the Role

Mace Group is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join their team in Riyadh. This role involves providing strategic project management consultancy for significant stadium development projects. The position is full-time and requires 5-10 years of experience.

Project Context

Mace Group is engaged in delivering major new build stadiums, redeveloping existing stadia, and transforming wider precincts in Riyadh. The scope of work includes increasing stadium capacity, developing mixed-use amenities, and ensuring robust knowledge transfer for operational excellence and long-term sustainability beyond the construction phase.

Core Responsibilities

The Senior Project Manager will lead and manage project activities across all three key stages of the project lifecycle:

• Pre-Tender Stage
• Procurement Stage
• Construction Stage

Key Duties and Accountabilities

• Develop and implement project strategies, delivery plans, and bid documentation.
• Support feasibility studies, concept design reviews, and cost benchmarking.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to define scope, objectives, and risk profiles.
• Prepare tender packages and manage pre-qualification processes.
• Supervise procurement strategies for contractors, consultants, and suppliers.
• Manage tender evaluations, negotiations, and contract award processes.
• Ensure compliance with client requirements, budget constraints, and programme milestones.
• Oversee design team appointments and manage scope, fees, and variations.
• Direct and monitor on-site delivery, ensuring adherence to programme, cost, and quality targets.
• Embed safety-first principles and Mace’s HSW framework throughout all activities.
• Manage stakeholder interfaces, reporting, and governance requirements.
• Drive sustainability initiatives and digital innovation across construction operations.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A degree qualification in a relevant discipline is essential.
• Professional experience, including specific involvement in stadium or major sports venue projects.
• A proven track record of managing pre-tender, procurement, and construction phases on complex, high-value programmes.
• Chartered or professional membership is considered an advantage.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and commercial acumen are necessary.
