About the Role

Reef Holding is undergoing a significant digital transformation, focusing on developing scalable and innovative technology solutions to support business growth and operational excellence. We are seeking an experienced Software Development Manager to lead software engineering initiatives and oversee the delivery of high-quality enterprise applications. This full-time position is based in Riyadh and requires 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

The Software Development Manager will be responsible for leading all software development activities, from requirements analysis and solution design to deployment and ongoing enhancement. This includes managing development teams, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and delivering secure, scalable, and integrated software solutions that support the company’s digital transformation strategy. Core responsibilities include:

• Leading the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, system design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
• Managing and mentoring software development teams, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
• Establishing operational plans and prioritizing software projects based on business impact and strategic objectives.

Solution Architecture and Development Practices

This role involves active participation in architectural design and the implementation of robust development practices:

• Participating in designing software architecture and technical solutions that integrate with enterprise platforms such as ERP, CRM, POS, and e-commerce systems.
• Ensuring scalable and maintainable system designs aligned with company technology standards and digital governance policies.
• Overseeing API integrations to ensure reliable and secure data exchange across systems.
• Driving the adoption of Agile and DevOps methodologies to improve development efficiency and collaboration.
• Overseeing software testing and quality assurance activities to ensure stable and reliable releases.
• Managing version control, release management, and technical documentation throughout the development lifecycle.

Application Performance and Security

The manager will ensure the operational excellence and security of all deployed applications:

• Monitoring application performance after deployment, analyzing incidents, and implementing continuous improvements.
• Ensuring adherence to application security standards, data protection requirements, and code quality practices.
• Identifying and managing technical risks, and developing mitigation plans.

Cross-Functional Collaboration and Innovation

Collaboration and continuous improvement are central to this role:

• Working closely with business and technology teams to translate operational needs into scalable software solutions.
• Coordinating with infrastructure, applications, and IT teams to ensure development environments are fully prepared.
• Evaluating new technologies, tools, and platforms to support innovation and digital transformation.
• Developing team capabilities through coaching, training, and knowledge sharing.

Performance Monitoring and Role Impact

Performance will be evaluated based on the timely delivery of software projects, application quality and stability, alignment of solutions with business requirements, team productivity, and compliance with application security and software governance standards.
