About the Role

Consult Pro is seeking a Solutions Engineer for a full-time position in Riyadh. This role is central to client implementations, bridging the gap between business needs and platform capabilities. The Solutions Engineer will be responsible for the functional architecture of client solutions, ensuring successful integration and client satisfaction.

Core Responsibilities

The Solutions Engineer will own the functional layer of client implementations. Key responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with clients to gather, structure, and validate business and functional requirements.
• Mapping client needs to the platform's existing capabilities, identifying native support, configuration requirements, and functional gaps.
• Drafting and managing the Business Solution Document (BSD), including platform configurations, workflow definitions, and integration specifications, for stakeholder sign-off.
• Developing in-depth functional knowledge of core platform modules such as payments, collections, disbursements, cards, lending, wallets, or open banking.
• Configuring the platform based on approved BSDs to create live system setups.
• Conducting hygiene testing and validating configured environments against functional requirements before client demonstrations and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Supporting SIT, UAT, and client demos, including preparing and delivering functional demonstrations and assisting with defect triage and resolution.
• Proactively identifying and documenting functional gaps, assessing business impact, and proposing resolutions.
• Coordinating with Product and Engineering teams to communicate gaps, agree on feasibility, and track resolution.
• Acting as the functional liaison between client-facing delivery teams and internal engineering.
• Setting clear and realistic expectations with clients regarding platform capabilities and scope.
• Presenting solution designs and BSD outcomes to client stakeholders.
• Managing client-side functional queries throughout the implementation lifecycle.

Required Experience and Skills

Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in a functional consulting, solutions engineering, business analysis, or implementation role within fintech, banking technology, or enterprise software.
• Hands-on functional experience with lending modules (loans or cards) is required.
• Proven experience in writing Business Solution Documents or Functional Specifications.
• Solid functional understanding of at least one financial services domain (*, payment rails, collections, disbursements, reconciliation, card issuing, lending workflows).
• Ability to interpret API documentation and trace integration flows.
• Comfort working across both business and technical domains.
• A systematic approach to gap analysis and resolution.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Confluence, and Jira.
• Familiarity with Figma for reviewing UI/UX designs is beneficial.
• Clear, direct communication skills, with the ability to manage client expectations effectively.
• Detail-oriented and structured approach to documentation and specifications.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Native Arabic and very good English command is essential for client-facing contexts across the GCC.

Role Boundaries

This role does not include the following responsibilities:

• Owning or managing project timelines.
• Consulting clients on market strategy or industry best practices beyond the platform's scope.
• Driving technology architecture decisions.
• Independently developing or deploying code; custom engineering is out of scope.
• Conducting market analysis or competitive positioning for clients.

Additional Considerations

The following experiences are considered advantageous:

• Experience configuring SaaS or API-driven platforms.
• Prior experience at a fintech infrastructure, core banking, or payments platform company.
• Previous experience as a functional or techno-functional consultant.
• Familiarity with SAMA regulatory frameworks and GCC compliance requirements.
• Experience in a startup or scale-up delivery environment.
• Relevant certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, or Agile/product certifications.
