About the Role

Alfanar is seeking a CCTV Facility Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of CCTV monitoring and ensure the proper functioning of surveillance and fire safety systems. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and requires 5-10 years of experience.

Core Responsibilities

The Supervisor CCTV Facility will be responsible for the continuous surveillance of assigned areas by supervising daily CCTV monitoring activities. This includes ensuring all cameras, recording systems, and monitoring equipment are functioning correctly. The role involves monitoring system alerts, investigating unusual activities according to security procedures, and coordinating with technical teams to resolve any system faults or recurring technical issues.

Control Room Operations and Team Management

Ensuring the smooth operation of the Control Room and the proper execution of monitoring procedures is critical. This includes overseeing shift handovers, verifying that incidents and observations are accurately communicated, and maintaining detailed logs of all incidents, alarms, and system activities. The supervisor will also ensure that control room procedures and security protocols are consistently followed. Additionally, the role involves supervising CCTV operators during shifts, ensuring adequate coverage, assigning duties, and supporting staff to maintain effective operations. Preparing and managing shift schedules, providing guidance and feedback to team members, and supporting recruitment activities through interviews are also key aspects of team supervision.

Fire and Life Safety Monitoring

A significant part of the role involves monitoring fire alarm and life safety system alerts from the control room. The supervisor will follow approved procedures when alarms or emergency alerts are activated, coordinating with on-site response teams and emergency services as required. Ensuring all fire and emergency events are properly recorded and reported is also a key responsibility.

System Maintenance and Compliance

The role requires reporting equipment faults and coordinating with technical teams for necessary repairs or maintenance. This includes ensuring routine testing and system checks are conducted as scheduled, and monitoring storage capacity and system performance for reliable operation. The supervisor will also support periodic testing of surveillance and safety systems. Ensuring that all surveillance activities comply with security policies and procedures, preparing incident reports, and maintaining the confidentiality of surveillance information and security data are essential for security compliance.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience. The role requires the ability to train subordinates and form an effective team, providing leadership, coaching, and direction. Delegation of tasks and ensuring fair distribution to maintain morale are also important. The ability to perform planned activities to meet operational targets, utilize resources effectively, and provide periodic reports detailing deviations and execution of planned tasks is expected. Problem-solving skills to resolve arising issues and escalate complex operational matters are necessary. Ensuring quality requirements are met and coordinating well-defined systems, policies, and procedures, while seeking automation opportunities, are also key requirements. Compliance with related policies, procedures, and work instructions, as well as ensuring compliance with relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures, is mandatory.
