About the Visual Graphic Designer Role

Al Majed Oud is seeking a Visual Graphic Designer to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position requires a professional with 2-5 years of experience in retail design or visual merchandising. The role focuses on translating brand guidelines and creative direction into tangible store designs and visual communications.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

The Visual Graphic Designer will be responsible for the conceptualization and execution of store layouts, space planning, and window displays. This involves close collaboration with the Visual Merchandising Manager to develop accurate CAD drawings, 3D visuals, and production-ready designs for both physical store environments and seasonal campaigns. The role ensures all visual elements align with brand identity and visual merchandising guidelines.

• Design store layouts and plan spaces for all retail locations, adhering to brand guidelines and commercial objectives.
• Develop 2D CAD drawings (floor plans, elevations, sections) and convert them into 3D views and renderings.
• Design and visualize window display elements based on creative direction.
• Create in-store visual elements, including walls, fixtures, signage, and display units.
• Design visual concepts for seasonal campaigns, promotions, and special product launches.
• Ensure all designs strictly follow brand identity, visual standards, and VM guidelines.
• Prepare technical drawings and production files for fabrication and installation teams.
• Review mockups and samples to confirm design quality and brand consistency.
• Support new store openings, renovations, and refresh projects.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess a relevant educational background and practical experience in the retail design sector.

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Interior Design, Visual Merchandising, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in retail design, visual merchandising, or store concept design.

Technical Skills and Competencies

Proficiency in industry-standard design software and a solid understanding of retail design principles are essential for this position.

• Strong skills in AutoCAD for layout and space planning.
• Proficiency in 3D design software such as 3ds Max, SketchUp, Blender, or similar.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
• Good understanding of retail materials, fixtures, VM tools, and fabrication processes.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
