EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN

About the Role

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician to join their team in Medina. This full-time role involves providing basic life support, emergency treatment, and transportation to patients, ensuring their life and health are preserved. The technician will also contribute to the efficient operation and maintenance of the section.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency calls to deliver immediate care to critically ill and injured patients.
• Transport patients to and from the hospital, and to and from their residences within the assigned site.
• Administer emergency medical treatment at the scene and during transit using various emergency and medical equipment, adhering to departmental protocols and policies.
• Assist in the Emergency Medicine Department when a code is declared.
• Monitor and maintain ambulances and equipment to ensure proper working order and adequate inventory of supplies. Report any needs for replacement equipment or supplies to the supervisor.
• Provide patient care in accordance with clinical protocols and safety requirements.
• Maintain response readiness consistent with Hospital Ambulance Services response criteria.
• Assess injuries, provide emergency care and protection to entrapped patients, and utilize prescribed techniques and appliances for safe extrication or assistance into Emergency Medicine.
• Provide additional care and triage injured individuals following standard emergency procedures after extrication.
• Function as a trainer or preceptor as required.
• Participate in projects and assignments as applicable.
• Contribute to self and others' education, training, and development.
• Adhere to all Hospital-related policies and procedures.
• Perform other assigned duties.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates for this role should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in emergency medical services. The position requires a professional who can effectively manage emergency situations and provide critical care under established guidelines.
