About the Role

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Supervisor Occupational Safety & Health to join their team in Medina, Al Madinah. This full-time role is crucial for maintaining a safe and healthy work environment by assessing and mitigating risks within the hotel. The Supervisor will lead initiatives to ensure workplace safety, advising on conditions, monitoring compliance, and engaging staff in safe practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect hazardous factors in the work environment and evaluate the quality of equipment and facilities.
• Advise, monitor, and report on workplace conditions to ensure a healthy and safe environment.
• Engage staff in programs that verify safe practices and lead the organization towards safety goals.
• Assist management in training, motivating, and coaching employees on safety protocols.
• Serve as a first point of contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management.
• Complete required safety training and certifications.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and support team goals.
• Verify adherence to quality expectations and standards.
• Prepare and review written documents accurately and completely.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move at a speed required to respond to work situations (*, run, walk, jog).
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance, and objects exceeding 75 pounds with assistance.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces, and over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Qualifications and Experience

• 2-5 years of relevant experience in occupational safety and health.
• Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats.
• Proficiency in using computers and/or point of sale systems to enter and locate work-related information.
• Some states may have additional licensing/registration requirements for this position.
