About the Role

Opella is seeking a Medical Sales Representative to join its full-time team in the Makkah region, covering Jeddah and Makkah. This role is suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience who are prepared to contribute to the self-care sector. The primary objective is to maximize sales and market share of assigned Opella products within the designated area, in line with company strategy and local regulations. The representative will also support the District Manager or Sales Manager in knowledge transfer to new hires.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote Opella products to healthcare professionals.
  • Conduct regular visits to pharmacies to monitor product availability and movement.
  • Introduce new products to the market.
  • Utilize sales techniques and operational tools to achieve sales objectives and continuously improve selling skills and product knowledge.
  • Provide quality medical information to healthcare professionals, adhering to professional ethics and company standards.
  • Identify customers and manage sales promotion of assigned products to target doctors to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
  • Develop weekly and monthly visit plans in consultation with the line manager, in compliance with Opella's internal sales systems.
  • Maintain and update knowledge of products and competitors to build professional relationships with trade personnel.
  • Identify and establish new business opportunities.
  • Update all required information on doctor cards and lists.
  • Implement ongoing targeting and profiling of customers to increase sales.
  • Communicate regularly with key opinion leaders, gather market feedback, and report relevant information to the line manager.
  • Support the District Manager with knowledge transfer to new hires, covering product knowledge, medical information, territory coverage, and reporting systems.
  • Implement the territory coverage plan, including the number of sales calls and visit frequency.
  • Effectively utilize company resources such as samples, promotional material, mobile devices, and company vehicles.

Compliance and Professional Conduct

The Medical Sales Representative is expected to uphold high professional standards and adhere to Opella's Code of Ethics and internal procedures. This includes maintaining a strong understanding of all relevant ethics and governance policies, and demonstrating personal leadership in their application. Accountability for personal safety and the safety of others is also required, along with cooperation with company safety rules and procedures.

  • Assist in accident investigations to prevent recurrence.

This is a full-time position based in the Makkah region, with responsibilities covering the cities of Jeddah and Makkah. The role involves regular field visits and interaction with healthcare professionals and pharmacies within the assigned territory.
