Position Summary

SADAFCO is seeking a Treasury Accountant to join our team in Jeddah. This full-time role is central to ensuring accurate and timely accounting for payroll and all employee-related payments. The Treasury Accountant will be responsible for maintaining assigned General Ledger accounts, performing essential reconciliations, and executing period-close activities, working in close coordination with Human Resources, Payroll, and Finance departments to ensure complete, properly approved, and auditable transactions.

Key Responsibilities: Employee Payments

  • Process and account for approved payroll, employee loans, salary advances, deductions, incentives, commissions, bonuses, and allowances.
  • Manage the processing of end-of-service benefits, final settlements, leave encashment, expense claims, and other approved employee reimbursements.
  • Validate all necessary approvals, employee references, amounts, cost centers, and supporting documents prior to processing any payments.

General Ledger and Financial Reporting

  • Prepare and post accurate SAP/ERP journal entries for all payroll and employee-related transactions.
  • Maintain and reconcile assigned General Ledger and balance-sheet accounts, including payroll liabilities, employee loans, advances, deductions, expense claims, accruals, and clearing accounts.
  • Prepare monthly accruals, provisions, reclassifications, and account analyses, specifically including end-of-service and leave-related balances where assigned.
  • Investigate and promptly clear outstanding or unmatched items and correct any identified accounting errors.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities in alignment with the Finance timetable.
  • Ensure all expenses and liabilities are recorded in the correct legal entity, period, cost center, and account.

Controls and Process Improvement

  • Maintain complete supporting documents and audit trails for all transactions and reconciliations.
  • Apply delegated authority, segregation of duties, confidentiality protocols, and company accounting policies consistently.
  • Prepare schedules, reconciliations, and explanations as required by management, auditors, and other Finance teams.
  • Coordinate effectively with HR and Payroll departments to resolve discrepancies and meet payment and closing deadlines.
  • Identify practical opportunities to enhance accuracy, standardize processes, and reduce manual work within treasury operations.

Qualifications and Work Details

Candidates for this full-time Treasury Accountant position should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience. The role is based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
