Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of cars, trucks, and heavy equipment.
- Schedule maintenance, repairs, and periodic inspections.
- Monitor fuel consumption, mileage, and operating costs.
- Implement vehicle tracking and fleet management systems.
- Manage driver assignments and provide safety and compliance training.
- Optimize fleet utilization and route planning to minimize costs.
- Maintain insurance and licensing records.
- Manage fleet budgets, fuel costs, and maintenance expenses.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Degree in Logistics, Transportation Management, Business Administration, or Engineering.
- Experience with fleet management systems.
- Strong organizational, budgeting, and decision-making skills.
- Understanding of basic vehicle mechanics and preventative maintenance.
- Ability to effectively lead teams of drivers and technicians.
- Professional certification in fleet management is an asset.
