About the A/C Technician Role at Rotana Hotels

Rotana Hotels in Riyadh is seeking a dedicated A/C Technician to join its maintenance team. This full-time position is ideal for individuals with 0-1 years of experience looking to contribute to the operational efficiency and guest comfort of a leading hospitality establishment. The role focuses on ensuring the optimal performance of all air conditioning and refrigeration systems within the hotel.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair temperature and air quality control systems.
• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on all hotel electrical and mechanical refrigeration systems, including freezers, fridges, ice makers, fan coil units, and chillers.
• Monitor the performance of refrigeration systems and their components.
• Verify the condition of door closing systems on walk-in coolers and freezers, including gaskets and latches.
• Maintain and check defrosting systems and ice maker automation.
• Respond to maintenance requests from various hotel departments.
• Conduct routine cleaning of fan coil units and air-handling unit filters.
• Assess the performance of air-conditioning and chill water systems.
• Collaborate with engineering colleagues to identify and resolve failures in air-conditioning and refrigeration systems.
• Ensure strict control over the venting of CFCs to the atmosphere.
• Overhaul air-condition and refrigeration equipment and systems.
• Check refrigeration and oil levels, and manage major repairs.
• Liaise with the Engineering Storekeeper regarding the purchase of necessary parts.
• Execute all tasks in accordance with the country's technical regulations and safety standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• A diploma in refrigeration systems maintenance or building services engineering is preferred.
• Previous experience in a similar role is required.
• Demonstrated knowledge in the operation and maintenance of relevant equipment.
• A good command of the English language.
• The ability to diagnose faults and rectify subsystems.
