Analyzer Technician Trainee (SMP)

About the Role

SAMREF Saudi Aramco Mobil Refinery Company Ltd. is seeking an Analyzer Technician Trainee (SMP) to join their team in Yanbu. This is a contract position requiring 0-1 years of experience. The role involves performing maintenance on refinery process analyzers, gas detectors, and analyzer shelter interlocks according to SAMREF procedures and work instructions.

Role Overview

The Analyzer Technician Trainee will be responsible for the testing, calibration, fault diagnostics, repairs, installation, and preventive maintenance of various analytical equipment within the refinery and associated facilities. This position also provides support for callouts, emergencies, shutdowns, and projects as needed, contributing to safe and reliable refinery operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform analyzer work in accordance with industry and site practices, equipment strategies, and TQMs work instructions to improve equipment availability and mitigate risks.
• Conduct daily routine checks on analyzers and analyzer shelters, including carrier cylinder change-outs, sample flushing, and sample conditioning system checks for leaks, flow, pressure, and temperature.
• Carry out PM/calibration, troubleshoot, and repair Ametek 880-NSL, ADA 900 H2S/SO2 tail gas analyzers, Ametek ASOMA 682T-HP total sulfur analyzers, and Thermo Scientific SOLA II and Metorex C100 Sulphur analyzers, with senior technician assistance for complex repairs.
• Perform PM/calibration, troubleshoot, and repair Siemens AA MAXUM, advanced, and D86 simulated distillation GCs, with senior technician assistance for complex repairs.
• Comply with SAMREF's SHE, OIMS, and T1BP policies and procedures, as well as safety critical rules.
• Utilize SAMREF SHE tools such as JLA, JSD, CARE, safety leadership meetings, and learnings from SAI and Near Miss reporting.
• Maintain good worksite housekeeping before leaving the site.
• Complete assigned activities per the daily schedule and group leader directions, keeping the group leader informed of status, progress, and concerns.

Qualifications and Experience

• 0-1 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Ability to perform maintenance on process analyzers, gas detectors, and analyzer shelters.
• Familiarity with testing, calibration, fault diagnostics, repairs, installation, and preventive maintenance.
• Capability to support callouts, emergencies, shutdowns, and projects.

Work Environment

This position is within the Maintenance Department and is offered as a contract role, specifically for Supplementary Manpower / Third-party engagement in Yanbu.
