About the Role

Jobgether is seeking a Technical Manager - Automotive and Industrial to join a partner company. This full-time position is based in Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on integrating secure and reliable Linux-based solutions into industrial and automotive environments, requiring expertise in open-source innovation, embedded systems, and automotive-grade software development.

Role Overview

This position involves leading and developing a distributed engineering team to adapt platform technologies for stringent safety, security, and compliance standards. The role requires a blend of deep technical leadership and strategic execution, collaborating closely with product management to define and deliver an engineering roadmap. The Technical Manager will also represent the organization externally within automotive and industrial ecosystems, including customers, partners, and standards bodies. This is an influential role aimed at shaping engineering practices, driving delivery quality, and ensuring alignment with global safety-critical standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the engineering strategy and roadmap for automotive and industrial software initiatives, aligning with product leadership and business objectives.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a globally distributed engineering team, ensuring high-quality delivery and technical direction.
• Drive the adoption of Linux-based and open-source solutions tailored for automotive and industrial use cases, ensuring compliance with safety and security standards.
• Collaborate with product management and cross-functional stakeholders to translate vision into actionable engineering plans.
• Represent the organization in external automotive and industrial communities, including standards consortia, partners, and customers.
• Promote modern agile development practices and continuous improvement across teams and processes.
• Establish a strong engineering culture that aligns with organizational values and enables scalability and collaboration.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A strong background in software engineering with deep expertise in Linux systems, embedded development, and open-source technologies.
• Proven experience in the automotive or industrial domains, with familiarity with standards such as ISO 26262, ISO 21434, IEC 61508, SOTIF, or ASPICE.
• Hands-on experience with C/C++ and Python development in embedded or systems environments.
• Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring, and managing engineering teams in a distributed or global setting.
• A solid understanding of functional safety, cybersecurity, and compliance requirements in regulated environments.
• Experience working in agile development environments with a history of delivering high-quality software on schedule.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• 5-10 years of relevant experience is required.
