Role Overview

Applus+ Asia Middle East and Africa is seeking a Project Engineer to join its team in Abha, 'Asir, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves supporting the Project Manager in the planning, coordination, and execution of all technical aspects for the CCTV Sewer Inspection Project. The Project Engineer ensures adherence to contract requirements, project specifications, quality standards, and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations, while coordinating with field teams, client representatives, and subcontractors.

Core Responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with contract requirements.
• Prepare and review technical submittals, reports, and work plans.
• Monitor project schedule and productivity against established benchmarks.
• Support quantity tracking and progress reporting activities.
• Assist in project inspections and participate in technical meetings.
• Resolve technical issues and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation and records.

Key Activities and Coordination

• Coordinate daily engineering activities on site.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and other technical documents.
• Support project planning and resource allocation efforts.
• Coordinate with the client, arrange inspection plans, and liaise with field teams.
• Monitor work progress and ensure quality standards are met.

Empowerment and Authority

• Review and recommend approval of technical documents.
• Coordinate engineering activities directly with project teams.
• Raise technical queries and recommend corrective actions for identified issues.
• Authority to stop and report unsafe or non-compliant engineering activities.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a relevant engineering role.
• Good knowledge of project documentation, Method Statements, and technical reporting.
• Experience with National Water Company (NWC) or similar utility projects is preferred.
• A valid Saudi driving license is preferred due to regular travel across project sites.
