About the Role

HUDSON is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a reputable Oil & Gas Company. This full-time position requires a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in electrical engineering to contribute to reliability studies and maintenance strategy development. The role is based in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, covering cities such as Dammam, Al Khobar, Dhahran, Al Jubail, Al-Ahsa, Al Qatif, Buqayq, and Ras Tannurah.

Role Overview

The Electrical Engineer SME will serve as a technical authority, focusing on enhancing equipment reliability and optimizing maintenance strategies. This involves detailed analysis of electrical systems, identification of failure mechanisms, and the development of robust maintenance plans to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the Electrical SME and Technical Authority during Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA/FMECA), and other reliability studies.
• Identify equipment functions, functional failures, failure modes, and degradation mechanisms for electrical systems.
• Develop and validate comprehensive maintenance strategies, including Preventive Maintenance (PM), Predictive Maintenance (PdM), Condition-Based Monitoring (CBM), Failure-Finding, and Run-to-Failure approaches.
• Review maintenance history, failure reports, testing records, and operational data to inform reliability improvements.
• Support Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and recommend reliability improvements and risk mitigation measures.
• Evaluate electrical protection, testing, and inspection requirements to ensure system integrity.
• Ensure that all maintenance recommendations comply with applicable electrical standards and company practices.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer, preferably within the Oil & Gas sector.
• Demonstrated expertise as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in electrical systems and reliability engineering.
• Strong understanding of RCM, FMEA/FMECA, and various maintenance strategy development methodologies.
• Proficiency in reviewing technical documentation, operational data, and failure reports.
• Knowledge of relevant electrical standards and industry best practices.

Compensation

The salary for this position ranges from SAR 8,000 to SAR 10,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
