About the Aviation Electrician Role
Amentum is seeking a skilled Aviation Electrician (AE) with MH-60/H-60 experience to join our team in Al Jubail, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves performing comprehensive maintenance and repair on H-60 helicopters, requiring a strong understanding of electrical systems and components.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute Planned Maintenance Interval Inspections (PMI) and Organizational, Intermediate, and Depot level maintenance on H-60 helicopters.
- Perform troubleshooting, testing, inspections, and repairs on aircraft engines and flight control systems.
- Fabricate and repair electrical systems and components, with extensive knowledge in wire and connector repair.
- Conduct maintenance and repair of major assemblies, subassemblies, and perform wire and connector replacements on the H-60 aircraft and related systems.
- Perform inspection, troubleshooting, fault detection, fault isolation, and implement corrective actions on electrical and utilities systems.
- Operate and maintain all applicable ground support equipment.
- Identify, use, and maintain common, special, and precision tools for power plant maintenance and repair.
- Maintain all required maintenance documentation, forms, records, and reports in accordance with applicable references and publications, including the NAMP.
- Provide On-the-Job-Training (OJT) to Saudi technicians and other personnel, maintaining appropriate training records.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 5-10 years of experience is required, with at least 8 years of current or previous experience performing complex helicopter electrical work.
- Experience must include inspections, testing, adjusting, aligning, assembly/disassembly, repair, replacement, modification, and troubleshooting of aircraft electrical systems, equipment, AC/DC power, flight controls, fire detection, power distribution, fuel, and utilities systems.
- Ability to correct discrepancies by removing, repairing, or replacing defective circuits, wires, connectors, control units, plugs, switches, circuit breakers, diodes, resistors, capacitors, relays, and other aircraft electrical system components.
- Proficiency in performing final functional checks on existing and newly installed aircraft electrical systems, equipment, wiring, and cables using standard and specialized tools and equipment to check continuity, resistance, amperage, and insulation breakdown.
- Comprehensive knowledge of electrical theory, principles, circuitry, circuit configuration, aircraft electrical systems, and their interrelationships, along with a working knowledge of electronic principles.
- Ability to trace signal paths through printed circuits and aircraft wiring to troubleshoot, modify, repair, overhaul, and maintain complex electrical systems on aircraft, including antiskid, automatic flight control, and fuel indicating systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic diagrams, and technical directives.
- Must possess a QAR/CDQAR, military equivalent such as Technical Inspector or Restricted Technical Inspector, or an A&P Certificate.
Clearance and Preferences
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a NAC(T3) Background Investigation and pass a drug test.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
- May be required to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
- Amentum maintains a drug-free workplace and performs post-offer, pre-employment substance abuse testing.
- Preference may be given to candidates with Navy Aviation Electrician - AE MH-60R HSM HSC, Army 15F, Air Force 2A676 HH-60, or equivalent military MOS experience.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
This role requires the ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily. Individuals must be able to walk and stand on level and inclined surfaces for certain periods. Climbing stairs, ramps, ladders, and working on stands is necessary. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds is required. Candidates must be able to distinguish color and judge three-dimensional depth.
