BI Developer/Consultant

About the Role

Datamatics Technologies is seeking a BI Developer/Consultant to join our team in Al Jubail, Eastern region. This full-time role involves developing comprehensive Business Intelligence solutions and engaging directly with business stakeholders to gather requirements.

Role Overview

The BI Developer/Consultant will be responsible for building end-to-end BI solutions, from data modeling to visualization and deployment. A key aspect of this role is the ability to act as a consultant, translating business needs into actionable dashboards and reports rather than solely focusing on report generation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop end-to-end BI solutions, encompassing data modeling, visualization, and deployment.
• Gather requirements directly from business stakeholders and translate them into effective dashboards and reports.
• Build and troubleshoot ETL/ELT data pipelines that feed BI layers.
• Optimize SQL queries, develop stored procedures, and manage complex joins.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• 4-6+ years of experience in building end-to-end BI solutions.
• Strong hands-on expertise in at least one major BI tool (Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik).
• Proficiency in SQL, including query optimization, stored procedures, and complex joins.
• Experience with data modeling (star schema, dimensional modeling).
• Demonstrated ability to gather and translate business requirements into BI solutions.
• Proficiency in DAX or an equivalent calculation language, particularly if Power BI-centric.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric or similar unified analytics platforms.
• Exposure to Python or R for advanced analytics integrated into BI layers.
• Experience presenting to executive or C-level audiences.
• Domain experience in operations, logistics, parking, or municipal data.
• Familiarity with data governance and row-level security implementation.
• Prior consulting background, including client-facing engagements, scoping, and stakeholder management.
