About the Role

JAL International Co. Ltd. is seeking a Building Inspection Engineer with expertise in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Architectural, Piping/Plumbing, or Instrumentation disciplines. This contract position is based in Al Jubail, Eastern region, and requires a professional with 5-10 years of experience in building inspection and compliance.

Role Objective

The primary objective of this role is to ensure a structured, timely, and high-quality handover of buildings from the Project Management Team (PMT) to Facility Management (FMD). This involves verifying compliance with design specifications, monitoring commissioning activities, and addressing any identified gaps prior to acceptance.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure buildings are ready for handover.
• Verify compliance with design specifications and relevant standards.
• Monitor testing and commissioning activities for various building systems.
• Identify and facilitate the closure of any deficiencies or gaps before building acceptance.
• Support Facility Management (FMD) in technical evaluation and decision-making processes.
• Inspect new and existing buildings to ensure adherence to building codes and other regulations.
• Inspect building sites to confirm compliance with safety and zoning requirements.
• Provide recommendations for improvements in safety, accessibility, and energy efficiency.
• Test electrical wiring, HVAC systems, plumbing, and other building systems to ensure code compliance.
• Identify and document code violations, offering guidance or recommendations for corrective actions.
• Prepare detailed reports documenting inspections and identified violations.
• Issue notices and citations for violations as required.
• Conduct follow-up inspections to verify that code violations have been corrected.
• Provide guidance to contractors and property owners regarding code requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in building inspection or a related field.
• Expertise in one or more of the following disciplines: Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Architectural, Piping/Plumbing, or Instrumentation.
• Demonstrated understanding of building codes, regulations, and safety standards.

This is a contract position located in Al Jubail, Eastern region. The role involves working within a structured environment focused on ensuring compliance and quality in building handovers.
