About the Role

Abdullah A. Al-Barrak & Son Co. (ABIS) is seeking a Coating, Blasting, and Painting Incharge to join its Oil & Gas industry division. This full-time position is based in Al Jubail, Eastern Province, and requires 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Role Overview

The Coating, Blasting, and Painting Incharge will oversee and manage all coating, blasting, and painting processes. This role is critical for ensuring that all operations comply with industry standards and client specifications, contributing to the delivery of excellence within the oil and energy sector. The position requires a proactive leader capable of coordinating with project teams, maintaining quality control, and driving continuous improvement initiatives while adhering to safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all coating, blasting, and painting activities to ensure adherence to project specifications and industry standards.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and quality control teams to plan and execute coating strategies effectively.
  • Inspect surfaces and prepare them for coating application, ensuring proper blasting and cleaning procedures are followed.
  • Monitor and maintain coating equipment, ensuring operational readiness and compliance with safety protocols.
  • Implement and enforce safety regulations across all coating, blasting, and painting operations.
  • Conduct regular quality checks and inspections to ensure the durability and integrity of coatings applied.
  • Lead, train, and supervise a team of coating and painting technicians, fostering a collaborative and safety-conscious work environment.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in coating, blasting, and painting operations.
  • In-depth knowledge of surface preparation, coating application techniques, and relevant industry standards (such as NACE or SSPC).
  • Excellent understanding of health, safety, and environmental practices related to coating and painting operations.

Essential Skills

  • Strong leadership and team management skills with a proven ability to supervise and motivate a technical team.
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and inspection reports.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and solve problems effectively in a fast-paced environment.
