About the Role

Tecnimont is seeking a Construction HSE Coordinator for a contract position in Al Jubayl, Saudi Arabia. This role is integral to ensuring all field activities are performed in strict accordance with Tecnimont's HSE policy, relevant regulations, industry standards, and established procedures. The Coordinator will actively promote and implement all necessary preventive and corrective actions to maintain a safe and compliant construction environment.

Reporting Structure and Oversight

The Construction HSE Coordinator reports directly to the HSE Manager (HSM). When serving as the Tecnimont HSE representative at the site, the Coordinator will report to the Site Manager. This position involves comprehensive verification and oversight to ensure continuous adherence to safety protocols throughout all construction phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform job hazardous analysis (JHA) and participate in job safety analysis (JSA).
• Verify the adequacy and application of the site HSE plan and all related procedures, preparing any necessary revisions.
• Update HSE documentation as required throughout all construction phases.
• Check that subcontractors perform their activities in accordance with all applicable HSE procedures, regulations, and standards, promoting actions to ensure compliance.
• Organize, plan, and participate in periodical HSE walk-arounds, inspections, and audits on site. Prepare relevant reports, action plans, and verify the follow-up and timely execution of corrective actions.
• Organize, coordinate, and directly participate in HSE training activities on site.
• Organize and participate in all relevant site HSE meetings, preparing the minutes of meeting (MOM).
• Cooperate with the client concerning the issuance of any necessary work permits.
• Organize a full investigation of work accidents, identifying corrective measures to prevent reoccurrence.
• Maintain accident records, identifying areas requiring focused prevention efforts.
• Perform and/or promote the indoctrination and training of personnel.
• Lead and coordinate the activities of the site HSE committee, composed of all contractor and subcontractor HSE representatives.
• Lead and coordinate the site emergency response team and fire prevention/fighting team, organizing training and emergency drill mock activities.
• Prepare the HSE section of the construction monthly progress report and other periodical reports.
• Prepare and update site HSE statistics, verifying performance against project and corporate HSE objectives, targets, and performance indicators.
• Propose recovery plans in case of performance mismatch.

Required Experience

Candidates for this position must possess 5 to 10 years of experience in a Construction HSE Coordinator or similar role. This experience is vital for effectively managing and coordinating site safety operations and ensuring adherence to stringent HSE standards.
