Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) is seeking a dedicated Electrical Technician Energy to join its team. This full-time position is based in Al Jubail, located in the Eastern region, and is part of the SA Pool operating from the UAE. The role focuses on maintaining the operational efficiency of electrical systems within a heavy industrial setting.

The Role of Electrical Technician Energy

The Electrical Technician Energy performs a wide range of duties encompassing the installation, repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of various electrical machinery, equipment, and fixtures. This role is critical for ensuring efficient operations with minimal downtime, while strictly adhering to EHS Guidelines and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.

Core Responsibilities

• Respond to all electrical equipment breakdowns, including LV-MV motors, LV Switchboards, MCCs, plant lighting systems, Transformers, UPS, VFD, Breakers, and Soft starters.
• Execute planned, preventive, and predictive maintenance tasks with minimal direction and supervision.
• Identify and report abnormalities, perform necessary repairs or replacements, re-assemble and test equipment, and ensure the working area remains clean.
• Technically assess the requirements of allocated jobs and select the appropriate tools and equipment for completion.
• Effectively diagnose and troubleshoot electrical breakdowns and failures of plant and equipment, often without direct supervision.
• Utilize the computerized maintenance system (SAP) to order spare parts from the warehouse and maintain accurate records of all completed maintenance work.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with established safety procedures and plant operational requirements.
• Monitor recurring breakdowns and recommend appropriate modifications to resolve persistent issues.
• Provide plant and equipment knowledge to newly joined electricians, craft trainees, and contractors to support their maintenance efforts.
• Actively participate in 5S, Business Excellence, and Safety Initiatives to continuously enhance EHS and Plant & Equipment Performance.
• Perform other related duties as communicated by the Supervisor or Superior.
• Assist other departments with equipment repair and troubleshooting as required.

Required Qualifications and Training

• A Diploma in a relevant electrical field.
• Successful completion of PEC Craft Training.

Experience Requirements

Candidates are required to have either 3 years of relevant experience in a heavy industry after obtaining their Diploma, or no experience if they have completed PEC Craft Training. This role is suitable for individuals with 0-1 years of experience post-PEC training, or those with a Diploma and relevant industry experience.
