About the Role

ArcelorMittal Tubular Products Al-Jubail (AMTPJ) is seeking a full-time Inspector NDT to join its operations in Al Jubail, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. This role is integral to ensuring the quality and integrity of materials through the application of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methodologies. The ideal candidate will bring 2-5 years of relevant experience to this critical function.

Role Purpose

The NDT Inspector performs comprehensive Non-Destructive Testing activities on materials, meticulously records and archives inspection results and test parameters, and ensures the traceability of inspected pipes. This position also involves the calibration and validation of NDT equipment, providing on-the-job training, and performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities for NDT systems.

Key NDT Operations and Documentation

  • Perform all NDT testing activities on materials in accordance with applicable procedures, standards, and customer requirements.
  • Record, maintain, and archive all inspection documents, test results, and parameters, ensuring traceability of inspected pipes through the L2 database and manual records.
  • Maintain calibration pipes under controlled conditions and report any damage, deterioration, or unavailability of calibration samples to the NDT Supervisor.
  • Execute assigned tasks efficiently and effectively, adhering to quality directives provided by the immediate supervisor.
  • Perform responsibilities in accordance with the job description, applicable procedures, work instructions, and company documentation.
  • Maintain procedures, work instructions, and other controlled documents under own responsibility.

Equipment Management and Training

  • Perform calibration and validation of NDT machines and equipment.
  • Provide on-the-job training and guidance to entry-level NDT personnel and Level II NDT inspectors.
  • Perform daily inspection, housekeeping, and maintenance activities for NDT equipment.
  • Participate in required training and examinations for certification and recertification in applicable NDT methods.
  • Perform operational maintenance, troubleshooting, repair activities, and verification of NDT machines and systems.

Quality, HSE, and Compliance

  • Contribute effectively as a team member toward achieving AMTPJ's quality objectives, business goals, and strategic direction.
  • Support AMTPJ's continual improvement initiatives to meet customer requirements, applicable legal requirements, and organizational objectives.
  • Support internal and external audits, including follow-up actions and management of audit findings.
  • Identify hazards and implement risk mitigation actions that support improved HSE performance.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable legal and other HSE-IMS requirements.
  • Report all HSE incidents and support the implementation of corrective actions.

Required Experience

Candidates must have 2-5 years of experience in Non-Destructive Testing or a closely related field. Demonstrated technical proficiency in NDT methodologies and equipment operation is essential for this role.
