About the Role

Abdullah A. Barrak & Sons Co. is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Al Jubail. This full-time position requires extensive experience, specifically over 10 years, in mechanical engineering within the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical sectors.

Role Overview

The Lead Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and guiding all mechanical engineering activities for various Oil & Gas and Petrochemical projects. This position ensures the technical integrity of projects, adherence to relevant standards, and successful project delivery from a mechanical engineering perspective.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering activities for Oil & Gas and Petrochemical projects.
• Review and approve mechanical engineering deliverables, specifications, and calculations.
• Manage mechanical equipment design and selection, including pumps, compressors, vessels, and rotating equipment.
• Ensure compliance with ASME, API, and international engineering standards.
• Coordinate effectively with process, piping, electrical, and construction teams.
• Review vendor documents and technical submissions.
• Provide technical support during procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.

Required Experience and Qualifications

Candidates must possess a strong background in Mechanical Engineering with over 10 years of experience. Extensive experience in Oil & Gas and Petrochemical projects is essential. Proficiency in ensuring compliance with industry standards such as ASME and API is also required.
