About the Role

TRS Staffing Solutions is seeking a highly qualified Lead Process Engineer for a contract position. This role is with a leading petrochemical company located in Jubail, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. The client operates advanced facilities and is structured as a joint venture, blending significant Saudi industrial expertise with global chemical leadership.

Role Purpose and Context

The Lead Process Engineer will be instrumental in the development and review of critical process engineering documentation and simulations. This position supports the client's operational excellence by ensuring robust design principles and effective management of process-related activities within their state-of-the-art petrochemical facilities.

Core Responsibilities

• Develop and review Process Design Basis (PDB) and Design Philosophy documents.
• Develop and review Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Utility Flow Diagrams (UFDs).
• Perform process simulations utilizing Aspen HYSYS / Aspen Plus or equivalent software.
• Define comprehensive operating cases, including turndown, start-up, shutdown, and upset scenarios.
• Lead and ensure proper documentation for P&ID reviews and HAZOP actions.

Candidate Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, refinery, or chemical process plants.
• Mandatory prior experience in PDP / FEED and DEP execution.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of PDP and FEED workflows.

Location and Employment Type

This is a contract-based opportunity situated in Jubail, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. Candidates who are currently based in Saudi Arabia will be highly considered for this position.
