Job Description

About the Millwright Technician Role

sraco is seeking a Millwright Technician for a full-time position in Al Jubail. This role is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and alignment of mechanical equipment and machinery within industrial facilities. The objective is to ensure equipment reliability, minimize operational downtime, and maintain safe and efficient plant operations. The salary range for this position is SAR 5,625 to SAR 7,500.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, assemble, dismantle, and relocate industrial machinery and equipment.
  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on rotating and stationary equipment.
  • Diagnose mechanical faults and perform troubleshooting to identify root causes of equipment failures.
  • Repair and replace defective components such as bearings, gears, shafts, couplings, seals, pumps, compressors, conveyors, and motors.
  • Conduct precision alignment of pumps, motors, gearboxes, and other rotating equipment using laser alignment tools.
  • Perform equipment inspections and condition monitoring activities.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, manuals, and technical specifications.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and inspection reports.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company procedures, and permit-to-work systems.
  • Coordinate with operations, maintenance teams, and contractors to complete maintenance activities efficiently.
  • Participate in plant shutdowns, turnarounds, and major maintenance projects.
  • Identify opportunities for equipment reliability improvement and recommend corrective actions.

Required Qualifications

  • Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience as a Millwright Technician in industrial, manufacturing, oil & gas, petrochemical, power generation, or similar environments.

Essential Skills and Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of rotating and static equipment maintenance.
  • Experience with precision alignment, balancing, and equipment installation.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Location and Type

This is a full-time position based in Al Jubail.
