About the Opportunity

HUDSON is seeking experienced Mechanical Technicians for a full-time, long-term assignment in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is critical for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of a thermal power plant through expert maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, and repair of mechanical equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities on various thermal power plant equipment.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair rotating and stationary equipment, including pumps, compressors, turbines, blowers, valves, gearboxes, and conveyors.
• Execute equipment alignment, bearing replacement, vibration checks, and mechanical overhauls.
• Carry out maintenance activities during plant shutdowns and turnaround projects.
• Monitor equipment performance to identify potential issues and minimize operational downtime.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, maintenance manuals, and technical specifications.
• Ensure strict compliance with plant safety procedures, permit-to-work systems, and HSE regulations.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and prepare comprehensive reports on completed work.
• Coordinate effectively with supervisors and operations teams to ensure smooth plant operations.
• Assist in commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems as required.

Required Qualifications

• An ITI in Mechanical Trade or a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is required.

Essential Experience

• A minimum of 3-8 years of hands-on experience specifically within Thermal Power Plants.
• Demonstrated experience in the maintenance of critical equipment such as boilers, turbines, pumps, compressors, fans, conveyors, and auxiliary systems.
• Familiarity with both preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
• Experience in shutdown and turnaround maintenance activities is preferred.

This full-time role is based at a thermal power plant in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The position involves working within a dynamic operational environment, focusing on maintaining the integrity and efficiency of plant mechanical systems.
