About the Opportunity

Baxter Company (BCL) is seeking a dedicated Technician Mechanical to join its full-time team in Dammam, Eastern region. This role is central to ensuring the operational integrity of the plant's critical systems and equipment, as well as maintaining building and facility infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in mechanical maintenance within an industrial setting.

Role Summary

The Technician Mechanical is responsible for the continuous monitoring, operation, and maintenance of essential utility machines and plant equipment. This position requires a proactive approach to identifying potential issues, performing preventive maintenance, and executing timely repairs to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations in compliance with established standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and operate all utility machines, including Boilers, RO systems, Distillers, Chillers, Cooling Towers, and Air Compressors.
  • Perform troubleshooting, diagnostic analysis, and repair of mechanical systems and plant equipment in accordance with training and procedures.
  • Identify operational machine issues and contribute to the development of preventive maintenance plans to avert breakdowns.
  • Maintain the general cleanliness of utility machines as per standard operating procedures to ensure optimal functioning.
  • Execute scheduled preventive maintenance on all plant equipment, including utility machines.
  • Provide guidance to the team on repairing building components and non-productive company equipment.
  • Oversee workshop tasks that support the Preventive and Corrective Maintenance Plans for equipment.
  • Ensure the team is proficient with plant SOPs and Corporate specifications governing utility machine operation.
  • Refresh the team on daily water routine analysis, critical systems operation, and local Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Conduct daily routine mechanical maintenance on utility machines, accurately recording data as per GMP/GDP requirements in daily log sheets, and reviewing records for completeness and compliance.
  • Participate in Total Employee Involvement, upholding EHS responsibilities according to Facility Best Safety Practices (BSPs) in Employee Accountability, and operating/maintaining workshop and plant equipment safely.

Required Experience and Skills

  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience as a Mechanical Technician, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial plant environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex mechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance planning and execution.
  • Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Commitment to Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) protocols and best practices.
  • Ability to guide and refresh team members on operational procedures and safety.
