About the Role
DuPont is seeking a Raw Material Scheduler to support its manufacturing facility located in Al Jubail, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient flow of materials necessary for production operations.
Role Overview
The Raw Material Scheduler is responsible for managing the procurement and scheduling of raw materials to meet production demands. This involves close coordination with supply chain planners, production schedulers, and suppliers to maintain optimal inventory levels and ensure uninterrupted manufacturing processes. The role requires a proactive approach to identify and resolve potential material shortages or logistical conflicts.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule and purchase raw materials based on forecast and actual demand, considering current inventory and transit times.
- Manage exception orders using SAP and other reporting tools, modifying receiving activities as needed and communicating changes to relevant teams.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain Planners and Production Schedulers to ensure sufficient raw material availability without negatively impacting schedules or customer requirements.
- Monitor raw material logistics and resolve conflicts to ensure a smooth flow of materials into the facility.
- Participate in production schedule review meetings to confirm adequate raw material inventory.
- Define raw material needs and issue regular forecasts to suppliers.
- Enter quality complaints and participate in Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) processes for raw material service and quality issues.
- Contribute data and guidance for annual tenders.
- Participate in Supply Chain design projects.
- Support annual inventory counts.
- Provide backup support for the KSA Planner/Scheduler during vacation periods, maintaining tactical aspects of the site production schedule.
- Provide backup support for the Regional Customer/Logistics Specialist during vacation periods, including issuing permits and representing DuPont at various ministries.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
- 5 to 10 years of relevant work experience.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with SAP/APO and Power BI.
- Working knowledge of English.
- Previous purchasing experience is preferred.
- Experience in a chemical plant production facility or maintenance environment is preferred but not required.
