About the Production Planner Role

SADAFCO is seeking a Production Planner to manage daily and weekly factory supply and demand planning. The primary objective is to develop and implement a detailed, achievable production schedule that ensures a consistent and efficient supply of quality finished goods to customers. This full-time position is based in Jeddah.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Supply Chain to integrate updated sales forecasts into weekly and monthly production plans, considering factory capacity, capabilities, constraints, available resources, machine service schedules, and material availability.
• Ensure timely procurement and appropriate storage of all primary and secondary packaging, raw materials, and ancillary items, adhering to company standards.
• Develop supply plans for third-party manufactured items.
• Provide daily feedback to maintain accurate scheduling information, including start/end times, resource allocation, losses, cleaning-in-place (CIP) times, material sequencing, trials, product changes, changeovers, and batch size management.
• Communicate and implement necessary production schedule adjustments due to unplanned events.
• Ensure timely creation of Manufacturing Orders (MO) and accurate back-flush reporting of actual production results.
• Control and maintain finished goods inventory levels within defined limits and coordinate with the technical projects team regarding factory shutdowns and major maintenance services.
• Oversee and manage assigned planning duties, including meal demand, waste management, archiving, write-offs, ERP operations, casual supplier liaison, employee legal documentation, and report preparation.
• Recruit, train, and coach storekeepers, forklift drivers, and factory workers, and conduct performance assessments.
• Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Good Hygiene Practices (GHPs) to maintain a safe and compliant working environment.
• Escalate critical issues such as stock-outs, delivery delays, and product defects promptly.
• Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly meetings to present plant performance data and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and prepare relevant reports.
• Follow the SADAFCO Operating System (SOS) and engage in continuous improvement and lean initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant planning experience, preferably within the FMCG industry.
• Proficiency in MS Office, with strong skills in MS Excel.
• Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
• Excellent planning, scheduling, and organizational abilities.
• Demonstrated experience in materials handling.
• Very good verbal and written communication skills in English; Arabic language proficiency is a plus.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, multitask effectively, and perform under pressure with tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with SKU creation, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and material master data updates.
• A commitment to accuracy and a proactive approach to tasks.
