Abunayyan Holding is seeking a Material Planner to join its Supply Chain team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position critical for ensuring efficient material flow and optimizing inventory levels within our operations.

The Role of Material Planner

The Material Planner is responsible for the comprehensive planning, scheduling, and coordination of material requirements. The primary objective is to support uninterrupted production operations while optimizing inventory levels and contributing to on-time customer deliveries. This role involves balancing material availability with production schedules and inventory optimization, primarily through the effective use of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems and close collaboration with various internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and manage material requirements based on the Master Production Schedule (MPS) using MRP systems.
• Determine material quantities, reorder points, and purchase requirements to support production demand.
• Generate purchase requisitions and coordinate with Procurement to ensure timely material availability.
• Monitor material shortages and proactively resolve supply issues to prevent production delays.
• Support production planning through accurate demand forecasting and material scheduling.
• Monitor inventory levels to maintain optimum stock while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
• Coordinate material movements between suppliers, warehouses, and production facilities.
• Track fast-moving and critical inventory items to ensure continuous production.
• Conduct inventory analysis and recommend stock optimization initiatives.
• Work closely with Procurement, Engineering, Production, Warehouse, and Logistics teams to ensure smooth material flow.
• Coordinate with suppliers to monitor delivery schedules and expedite urgent material requirements.
• Analyze demand forecasts and production plans to determine future material requirements.
• Prepare material planning reports, inventory reports, shortage reports, and procurement forecasts.
• Utilize ERP/MRP systems and business intelligence tools to support planning decisions and monitor KPIs related to inventory, material availability, and supplier performance.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in material planning or a related supply chain role.
• Demonstrated proficiency in using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.
• Strong analytical skills for demand forecasting, inventory analysis, and report generation.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and issue resolution in supply chain operations.

Work Environment and Collaboration

This role operates within a dynamic supply chain environment, requiring close interaction with various departments including Procurement, Production, Engineering, Warehouse, and Logistics. The Material Planner will be integral to a team focused on operational efficiency and continuous improvement in material management.
