Role Overview

The Production Planner is responsible for developing, managing, and executing comprehensive production schedules to ensure efficient manufacturing operations. This position focuses on balancing plant capacity, raw material availability, and customer delivery requirements. A key aspect of the role involves driving continuous improvement in production efficiency and inventory control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the central liaison between operations, procurement, warehousing, and manufacturing teams. Facilitate regular meetings to resolve bottlenecks, align priorities, and ensure seamless production execution.
  • Maintain optimal stock levels of raw materials and finished goods. Implement strategies to minimize obsolete, slow-moving, or excess inventory while ensuring production continuity.
  • Measure, analyze, and report on variances between actual production output and planned schedules. Track key performance indicators such as schedule adherence, OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), and production lead times. Provide actionable insights to management for continuous improvement.
  • Utilize ERP/MRP systems to generate work orders, production orders, and planning reports. Ensure data accuracy and system integrity to support informed decision-making.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in production planning, manufacturing scheduling, or inventory management within a manufacturing environment. Experience in the textile, polymers, or FMCG industry is highly preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (SAP experience is an advantage) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
  • Core Competencies:
