About the Role

iPS Powerful People (B Corp™) is seeking a Planning & Cost Lead to contribute to a major industrial development project located in Al Jubail, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position offers a leadership opportunity within project controls.

Role Purpose

The Planning & Cost Lead will be responsible for leading the Project Services function. This includes overseeing all planning, scheduling, cost control, forecasting, risk management, and project reporting activities throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring effective management of project parameters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead project planning, scheduling, and cost control activities.
  • Develop and maintain project control systems, procedures, and reporting frameworks.
  • Monitor project progress, cost performance, and schedule adherence.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and management project reports.
  • Manage project forecasting, benchmarking, and trend analysis.
  • Perform schedule and cost risk analysis and support contingency planning.
  • Coordinate with Finance on cash flow, budgeting, and cost reporting activities.
  • Manage project change control and management of change processes.
  • Review and approve contractor schedules, progress updates, and cost estimates.
  • Support project assurance reviews and decision gate requirements.
  • Lead project controls interfaces with contractors and project stakeholders.
  • Develop recovery plans and corrective actions for schedule and cost deviations.
  • Support project closeout reporting and lessons learned activities.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Project Services team.
  • Promote strong HSE leadership and project governance compliance.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in a relevant planning and cost control role.
  • At least 5 years of experience within the Middle East region, with a preference for experience in Saudi Arabia (KSA).
  • Strong knowledge of project phases including Front-End Engineering Design (FEED), Detailed Design, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning, and Startup.
  • Demonstrated experience in Critical Path Analysis, Trend Analysis, Recovery Planning, and Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA).

Preferred Background

  • Experience within metal processing, refining, petrochemical, or other industrial projects is preferred.
  • International project experience is considered an advantage.
