Plant Shift DCS Operator

About the Role

Linde Jubail Industrial Gases Factory LLC is seeking a Plant Shift DCS Operator to join their team in Al Jubail, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves operating the Distributed Control System (DCS) for plant startup and shutdown operations, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate the DCS for plant startup and shutdown operations to achieve company objectives and production targets.
• Monitor and control all process parameters, including flow rates, pressures, temperatures, and levels, using displays, graphics, and trend logs.
• Communicate with field operators for necessary parameter adjustments.
• Report parameter abnormalities and process deviations to Shift Supervisors immediately.
• Perform minor plant adjustments and report serious faults to the Supervisor with proposed remedial actions, implementing approved actions, procedures, and standard emergency responses promptly.
• Take immediate corrective actions during emergency situations to minimize risk to personnel, plant equipment, and production.
• Monitor and control the effective and safe usage of raw materials, chemicals, and other plant utilities.
• Prepare and assist in the preparation of operational reports as requested by the Production Supervisor or Team Leader.
• Ensure the safe shutdown, isolation, and blowdown of relevant sections or the entire plant during emergency situations.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in plant operations, particularly with Distributed Control Systems.
