  • Inspecting static equipment such as vessels, exchangers, columns, internals, fin fans, and drums according to ASME VIII ** and API 510.
  • Controlling tank repair, alteration, and settlement work in compliance with API 650 / 653 and SAES-D-108.
  • Managing piping fabrication, PMI, PWHT, hardness testing, and NDE to ASME **, API 570, and SAES-L-350 standards.
  • Maintaining the welder register, WPS-welder matrix, daily allocation, and tracking repair rates (SAEP-1160).
  • Managing flange joint lists, torque, and leak-test records (ASME PCC-1, SAEP-351), issuing test packs, and witnessing hydro/pneumatic tests (SAES-A-004).

Project Close-out and Reporting

The Lead QA/QC Engineer is responsible for the final stages of project quality assurance:

  • Closing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), punch A and B items, and offering final inspection to Aramco.
  • Reviewing NDE reports and RT films from subcontractors before client submission.
  • Compiling and issuing the complete QC dossier, including records, certificates, weld maps, test packs, and calibration data.
  • Reporting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as welder repair rate, NCR closure, hold-point compliance, and dossier status.
  • Recording lessons learned for future shutdown projects.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess a strong background in quality assurance and control within industrial settings. The ideal candidate will have:

  • 8-10 years of relevant experience in QA/QC roles, preferably within shutdown, turnaround, or project environments.
  • Demonstrated expertise in quality systems for Saudi Aramco and affiliate facilities.
  • Proficiency in preparing and managing quality documentation and procedures.
