About the Role
Abdullah A. Al-Barrak & Son Co. is seeking a QC Inspector – Instrument – Project to join their team in Al Jubail, Eastern Province. This full-time role involves performing inspection and testing of instrumentation construction activities to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Role Overview
The QC Inspector – Instrument is responsible for verifying that all instrumentation construction activities adhere to specified drawings, specifications, and applicable industry standards. This includes conducting various inspections and tests throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform in-process and final inspections on instrumentation installation works.
- Witness loop checks, calibration, and instrument testing activities in accordance with the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP).
- Verify instrument installation, tubing, and wiring against approved drawings and specifications.
- Verify materials and instruments against material certificates and specifications.
- Record inspection results and raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) as required.
- Coordinate hold points and inspections with client and third-party inspectors.
- Maintain inspection records, checklists, and daily QC reports.
- Verify the calibration status of test and measuring equipment used on site.
- Support punch-list generation and verification of closure for instrumentation works.
- Ensure work fronts comply with approved method statements and instrumentation standards.
- Support the preparation of quality documentation for instrumentation handover dossiers.
Performance Evaluation
Performance in this role will be evaluated based on several key indicators, ensuring thoroughness and efficiency in quality control processes.
- Inspection accuracy and completeness.
- Timely identification and reporting of non-conformances.
- First-time inspection pass rate on assigned work fronts.
- Adherence to inspection schedules and hold points.
- Quality of inspection documentation.
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates for this position should possess relevant experience in quality control for instrumentation projects.
- A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a similar role.
Work Environment
This is a full-time position based in Al Jubail, Eastern Province, within a project-focused environment. The salary for this role will be disclosed during the hiring process.
