The Role of a Registered Nurse

My Clinic KSA is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its team in Al Jubail, Eastern Region. This full-time position involves providing direct patient care, administering medications, and implementing nursing interventions in accordance with established protocols. The role also includes assessing patient needs, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and promoting patient safety and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs, documenting findings and identifying priorities for care.
• Develop individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare team members, incorporating patient preferences, cultural considerations, and evidence-based practices.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members, including physicians, therapists, social workers, and case managers, to coordinate patient care and facilitate discharge planning.
• Administer medications, intravenous (IV) therapy, and treatments as prescribed by physicians, following medication administration protocols, dosage calculations, and safety precautions.
• Monitor patients' responses to medications, assess for adverse reactions, and intervene promptly to prevent complications or side effects.
• Perform nursing procedures and interventions, such as wound care, catheterization, tracheostomy care, and specimen collection, adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
• Assist physicians and healthcare providers during examinations, treatments, and procedures, ensuring patient comfort, safety, and privacy.
• Educate patients and families about their medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies, fostering empowerment, compliance, and health literacy.
• Provide guidance on preventive healthcare measures, lifestyle modifications, and community resources to promote wellness and disease prevention.
• Document vital signs, medication administration, treatments, and nursing interventions according to established protocols and policies.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of nursing assessments, interventions, and patient responses in electronic health records (EHR) or paper charts, following documentation standards and regulatory requirements.
• Attend and participate in educational activities and contribute to the orientation and ongoing education of new nursing staff.
• Demonstrate flexibility to work different shifts in various areas according to operational needs within the scope of nursing practice at My Clinic.
• Participate as an active member on assigned committees and contribute to continuous quality improvement activities to enhance patient care and the work environment.
• Participate in reviewing standards and policies for national and international accreditation requirements.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients, families, and staff by ensuring safe equipment, instruments, medications, and implementing infection control procedures and guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in a relevant nursing role.
• Ability to provide direct patient care and implement nursing interventions effectively.
• Strong collaboration skills for working with interdisciplinary teams.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Al Jubail, Eastern Region. The role requires adaptability to different shifts and areas within My Clinic KSA as operational needs dictate.
