Job Description

About the Role

Duruper is seeking a Welding Inspector for a contract position based in Al Jubail, Eastern region. This role is responsible for inspecting and monitoring welding activities to ensure strict compliance with project specifications, approved welding procedures, Saudi Aramco standards, and relevant international quality codes. The Welding Inspector plays a critical part in verifying quality documentation and supporting client inspections to ensure all welding work meets stringent project quality and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections of welding activities in accordance with approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), project specifications, and international codes.
  • Conduct fit-up, in-process, and final welding inspections.
  • Verify welder qualifications, welding consumables, and welding equipment prior to the commencement of work.
  • Ensure full compliance with Saudi Aramco quality requirements and project specifications.
  • Review welding procedures, inspection reports, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) reports, and other quality documentation.
  • Coordinate with construction, QA/QC, and client representatives during inspection processes.
  • Raise and monitor Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records, quality reports, and comprehensive documentation.
  • Support client audits and quality inspections as required.
  • Ensure adherence to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and quality management systems.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in Saudi Aramco projects as a Welding QC Inspector.
  • Saudi Aramco CBT (Computer-Based Test) Passed is mandatory.

Essential Skills and Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of welding inspection procedures, Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), and international welding codes.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and welding documentation effectively.

This is a contract position located in Al Jubail, Eastern region. The compensation for this role will be discussed during the interview process.
