About the Role

Duruper is seeking a qualified Welding Inspector for a full-time position based in Al Khobar, Eastern Province. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality and compliance of welding activities within oil & gas projects, particularly those approved by Saudi Aramco.

Role Overview

The Welding Inspector is responsible for overseeing all welding operations to guarantee adherence to approved welding procedures, project specifications, and relevant international codes and standards. The primary objective is to maintain quality integrity, ensure inspection accuracy, and achieve client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections of welding activities to confirm compliance with approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), project specifications, and applicable codes/standards.
  • Monitor the fit-up, welding process, and post-weld activities to ensure all quality requirements are met.
  • Verify the qualifications of welders, the suitability of welding consumables, and the condition of equipment before commencing welding operations.
  • Review, manage, and maintain all welding inspection records, reports, and associated documentation.
  • Collaborate with construction teams, QC personnel, and client representatives to address and resolve any welding-related issues.
  • Ensure strict adherence to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations, quality standards, and Saudi Aramco specific requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits, inspections, and quality control reviews pertaining to welding activities.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Possession of a Diploma or Degree in Engineering.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience within the oil & gas industry.
  • Demonstrated experience working as a QC Welding Inspector.
  • Mandatory: CSWIP Welding Inspector certification issued in 2022 or earlier.
  • Mandatory: Saudi Aramco approval.

Work Location and Type

This is a full-time position located in Al Khobar, within the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. The role requires on-site presence to effectively perform inspections and oversight.
